Healthy Futures

 

Our Healthy Futures programming helps people overcome barriers and work to strengthen their futures. These programs currently include Recovery Corps, Heading Home Corps, Public Health Corps, Resettlement Corps and Language Corps.

Recovery Corps logo

Recovery Corps

Recovery Corps helps make a life in recovery possible for more people. AmeriCorps members offer peer support and project management to help recovery organizations increase their capacity. AmeriCorps members with lived experience are trained to offer mentoring, peer support and resource navigation as Recovery Navigators. Project Coordinators focus on supporting community engagement, project coordination, data collection, volunteer mobilization, and workforce development.

Heading Home Corps

All Minnesotans deserve a safe place to call home. As part of Heading Home Corps, AmeriCorps members serve as Housing Resource Navigators and support individuals experiencing homelessness as they work to overcome barriers and achieve their housing goals.


 
Public Health Corps logo

Public Health Corps

Building healthy, strong, and resilient communities has never been more important. As part of Public Health Corps, AmeriCorps members serve as Public Health Project Coordinators to increase public health capacity and respond to community needs while growing the public health workforce.


 

Language Corps

In Minnesota, English Learners are less likely to graduate high school in four years. Language Corps is a program that trains AmeriCorps members to help multilingual students strengthen their English reading and writing skills, creating stronger students.


 
Resettlement Corps logo

Resettlement Corps

Since 2021, Minnesota welcomed more than 1,200 Afghan families and is currently welcoming families from Ukraine and other countries around the world. As part of Resettlement Corps, AmeriCorps members support families who are new to the U.S. as they join their new communities and work to achieve housing, employment and education goals.
